Due to changes
in Home Office policy, many of our employees will now be working from home. In order to
access all needed work tools you might need to use VPN connection.
When do I use FortiClient VPN?
The majority of our services like E-Mail, Skype, myHemmersbach, myTickets, myDispatch, Gepard, HIS, SDC, SharePoints, PowerBI are available from outside and it’s not necessary to establish VPN to access them. Nevertheless, if you wish to access network drives or some special applications you have to establish a VPN connection.
How do I establish a VPN connection with the FortiClient VPN?
There are two ways to establish connection; both of them need Internet connection:
Before logon, during windows startup, select “Sign-in options” and click on the red shield then log in using your credentials.
After logon, click on the green shield located on your taskbar and choose Connect to “HEM-VPN” option and type your credentials.
Please be advised that to use a VPN connection you have to be connected to the Internet – it does not matter if you are using either *LAN or Wi-Fi – however, before establishing the VPN please make sure that your Internet connection is working – either on logon screen (bottom right corner) or on your taskbar.
*Please note that you have to be connected either by LAN or by Wi-Fi, not both at the same time, as it may interrupt the network connection.
